Bohemian Wildflower Wedding Flowers | The Inn at Barley Sheaf, PA

Aesthetic: Romantic Wildflower Garden

Recently, TWIG had the pleasure of returning to the Inn at Barley Sheaf to work with Rachel and Devon for their enchanting wildflower-inspired wedding. When I spoke to the couple about their vision for their wedding flowers, the bride was looking for the full color wheel of flowers in as many varieties as we wanted.

As big fans of color, we were excited to bring in the full range of bright local stems that are available in the early summer, to create something truly vibrant and happy.

The Inn at Barley Sheaf is a picturesque farm venue that served as the perfect canvas for their love story. The grounds boast a variety of spaces including the manor house, gazebo, historic barn, and acres of gardens and wildflower fields, that provide so many unique backdrops for a wedding celebration.

The natural beauty of the location was an ideal foil for our floral arrangements, allowing us to play with colors, textures, and forms to create a warm, inviting, and elegant atmosphere.

In an unforeseen turn of events with a sudden rain shower, the ceremony had to be quickly moved under the patio cover of the Inn. It was a last-minute team effort to transfer the large, colorful Chuppah adorned with draping and wild florals to the patio, but we pulled it off in time for the ceremony to begin.

The Chuppah, replete with its vibrant flowers, later found a new home behind the head table, another chance to repurpose its beauty and become a focal point in the reception area.

Speaking of the reception, the space was a testament to the charming, pastoral ambiance of The Inn at Barley Sheaf. Large windows surrounding the area bathed the room in beautiful, natural light, which set ablaze the color florals on the tablescapes.

The guest tables were a vision of elegance and sophistication. A mix of bud vases, golden-rimmed votives, and three taper candles on golden stands encased with hurricanes were positioned strategically.

The delicate lighting from the candles, coupled with the organic beauty of the flowers, enhanced the overall aesthetic and created a romantic, intimate atmosphere.

The bride had one unique request that I hope catches on in the world of wedding guest books: Rachel wanted loose flowers and greens available for the guests to lay on their respective pages. I thought it added a personal touch to an age-old tradition and made each entry a piece of art. We were happy to provide a large cross-section of flowers to give her and her guests options for designing their page.

As a wedding florist, it is always an honor to be chosen by a couple to bring their vision to life on their special day. At The Inn at Barley Sheaf, we were able to create stunning floral arrangements that not only captured the essence of the couple's love but also showcased the beauty of the venue. The seamless collaboration between our team and the staff at The Inn truly made for a magical and unforgettable wedding experience.

We look forward to continuing to work with future clients at The Inn at Barley Sheaf, creating unique and personalized floral designs that will elevate their special day!
